| May 14: When I first saw this bird in the backyard, I was sure it was the adult veery from a few days ago returning. My impression was strengthened by the fact that the young veery was definitely back in its bush. It's possible that the veery was actually also in the yard, but this is a wood thrush, the veery's neighbor in Sibley. A similar bird but blessed with a much spottier breast. | ||
