One of my laments is that I don't have any good pictures of crows. They're so black that things have to be just right to get a good picture. We thought we had a chance to put this right when we saw these two on the ground, close-by. But, no sooner had I pointed the camera at them than they were spooked by a sudden cacophony caused by a flock of grackles and starlings who descended on the area. You can see that the birds are upset in this picture. By the time the camera clicked for the second picture, it was too late; they'd gone.
