Even in this shot, the focus seems uneven. His tail looks decidedly fuzzy, but the front half of his body is in sharp focus. I reckon he was traveling at about 15 to 20 miles an hour, so it is no surprise that when he stopped in his tracks just after this shot, I ended up pointing at empty grass. By the time I recovered, he had regrouped and made it to the trees, whereupon, he disappeared.
