June 26 A number of birds have (so far) put in one appearance only and then have not been seen again. The waxwing, the chickadee, the baltimore oriole are examples. Until this juvenile titmouse appeared at the feeder, I'd only had one sighting of a titmouse before, too. This was one of the first shots I took with the new Kenko teleconverter. It's amazing how different the color looks in this shot compared to that earlier sequence in the greenery.
