Flicker Takes a Bath

June 20, 2002: I was out in the early evening with both C-8 lenses on the front of the camera. I've started to suspect that the order in which I attach them makes a difference, although there's no doubt that the key factor is the quality of the light. There was brilliant sunshine this evening, but no birds would settle in the sunlight, until right out of the blue this male norther flicker appeared. In the past, flickers have not let me approach very close, but with both lenses on, I didn't need to get that close.
