Here's the Osprey nest when the light was at its very best this afternoon for a few minutes as a gap in the solid clouds passed overhead. This picture was taken with two Canon C-8 1.6x tele converters on the front of the Olympus C2100UZ. If you look closely, you can just see the head of one of the baby ospreys.

It's been a frustrating few days on the zoom front. The Canon TC-DC58 proved to be a lot smaller than I was expecting and it only provides 1.5x and not the 1.8x advertised on the website of the vendor from whom I bought it -- well, it's gone back for a refund because it just doesn't work with our camera. But, on top of that, the weather has been atrocious. We've not had any sunshine for days.
