July 8 That I took this picture at all was a minor miracle. I was experimenting with a cookie cutter as an extension tube for the teleconverter to see what effect it would have. The cookie cutter in question fits snugly into a 49mm ring at one end and forms a nice base for a 52mm ring at the other, but I have to hold it all together. While all this was going on, the female cardinal put in an appearance and I was able to take this picture. Seconds later...
