As seems to be common for mockingbirds, once they perch somewhere, they seem quite happy to stay there for a long time. I had to empty the card of pictures before I could get out with the camera. This bird must have been perched here for twenty minutes. It's not asleep in this shot, just taking a close interest in its chest feathers.
