This shot was taken less than half a second later. The seed is gone and the bird has moved up on the branch. The rest of the shots in this sequence suffered from at least one piece of foliage obscuring a key part of the bird. As the banner indicates, I was able to identify this as a White Throated Sparrow, but only after I got home and consulted the guide book.
